structure matched the requirements of a scenario.

She found the comparisons, small data examples, and

assignments involving object searching, sorting, and

filtering especially useful.

“After each module, I could return to the example and review

why a particular collection was selected for that scenario.”

Mack already understood basic variables, conditions, and loops,

but he often placed all program logic inside one method when

working on larger assignments. He found it difficult to decide which

actions belonged in separate classes and how information

should move between them. The class interaction diagrams and

examples that gradually divided one large task between methods

and objects were particularly useful to him.
